So I'd just like to highlight some of the best things throughout January. I'll try not to dwell on the bad things, and I'm doing this purely from memory as i have no resources here in the college library (diary, tweets etc).
- One of my resolutions was to spend more time with friends and generally being more sociable. In the beginning of January i met up with a dance friend who i see on a weekly basis, although considerably less since finishing BTEC Dance in June. It was crappy weather but we had a great time shopping, you can see what i bought here. It was one of those shopping trips where you just go around every shop that takes your fancy and look at everything, no time restrictions and you can take all the time in the world deciding on something and not being hurried along. I bought some really summery things, i don't know whether it was because i got excited about seeing all the new stock in or i was trying to compensate for it being poopy weather. We also went for a Subway for lunch as its our favourite and reminds us of dance shows, so we also got Pinballs which another one of our dance show essentials and we lived off them any time we did a show in BTEC, they are amazing. I had a great day with my favourite dance buddy:)
- I've accomplished being healthy for a whole 41 days now, i started 30th December and i just feel so much better in myself. The other day i had a chocolate bar as there weren't any strawberries left, and i felt all groggy and just meh. Eating healthy really does perk you up, i dont even crave chocolate anymore which for me, is a miracle as i'm a certified chocoholic. I'm not saying i've given it up, no way;)
- Ive done way too much sale shopping to get over the January Blues, retail therapy is my weakness. i vowed to myself that im not to go shopping until at least the end of March because my birthday is early April, so I can save up for then:)
- I had to have a crown fitted on one of my back teeth:( i swear my dentist just makes up stuff so he can drill into my skull. Sounds gruesome and it is gruesome. I absolutely hate fillings, especially the drilling part. Specifically the polish part. If i could describe it, id say its like nails scratching down a chalkboard, only on your teeth, i hate it so much. I know have metal in my mouth forever, such fun.
- I signed up for Race For Life 2014! I know its early, but i was so keen, especially as it made me and my family so proud last year, and this year i have more motivation to raise as much money as i can. My JustGiving page is here if youd like to donate, even 50p would mean alot to help me reach my target!
Have a good weekend everyone
Laura x
