Talk to the Hand

Recently my hands have been feeling quite dry, which is unusual for me as I've never gotten dry hands before. As I've never had a problem with them before, i haven't purposefully gone out and looked for hand creams, I've just accumulated a couple and i dug them out over winter and have grown to love them.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Concentrated Cream
This isn't specifically a hand cream, its designed for all areas of dry skin where you feel need a more intense moisturiser. This has the typical cocoa butter smell and its quite strong, so if you don't like strong smells then its probably best to steer clear of this product.
As with most Palmer's products, it contains vitamin E which is great for the skin, and for blending marks and scars. It's a rich consistency so when you rub this in, you really feel it working and your skin feels especially soft after it sinks in. It claims to soften, smooth and relieve very dry skin, so if you're skin is on the very dry side, I'd recommend this product no end. You don't need alot so the 60g tube lasts quite a long time. It retails for £2.13 in Boots and £2.09 in Superdrug, so it's extremely affordable!

The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Hand Cream
This was part of the Christmas range for the past couple of years, so I'm sure it will come out again for Christmas 2014. Firstly the smell, it has a really sweet vanilla smell, but its not too overpowering, again if you don't like scented products then maybe stay away from this. The formula is really creamy and it rubs in a dream. This one makes your hands feel like they've been bathed in fairy dust, your hands feel soooo soft!
I bought this in the sale for £2, although before Christmas it was £4 but its still worth it. Compared to the Palmer's hand cream which is more to feed your skin (how weird does that sound?!), this one is a nice treat when you want nice smelling, soft hands. I'm still using up the tube i bought last year, so the 30ml goes a long way.

I love both hand creams for their different purposes, if i feel like my hands need extra moisture ill go for the Palmer's hand cream, or if i need a nice pick-me-up ill go for the Vanilla Body Shop hand cream. I highly recommend both creams to anyone with any skin type. They're both super cheap and really moisturising.
If you have a favourite hand cream then let me know!
